2007-2008 FFA Activities
1. Chapter Officers attended C.O.L.T conference in May.
2. Chapter members planted flowers at the Community Home
3. Set up tables for the Sutton Alumni Banquet
4. Conducted a Children’s Barnyard at Royal Family Kids Camp in June
5. Set up and ran a Dodgeball tournament during dugout day
6. Chapter members helped tare off old siding at the Sutton Funeral Home.
7. Chapter members helped work the concession stand at Junction Motor Speedway
8. Chapter members sold tickets for the FFA Night at Junction Motor Speedway
9. Several members attended Peak conference
10. Chapter members picked up and delivered 5,000 straw bales
11. Chapter members showed livestock at the Clay County Fair
12. Chapter members helped Dean Griess harvest his Grape Crop
13. State Fair- Ashley Nunnenkamp and Cory Griess showed livestock
14. Chapter members participated in the Adopt A Highway Program
15. Chapter members attended the IMPACT leadership workshop.
16. Chapter members attended District Livestock Judging in Kearney
17. Chapter members attended Husker Harvest Days and helped at the Johnsonville Brat Concession Stand
18. Annual Leadership Night was in November, Greenhand, Discovery, and Chapter degree pins were awarded.
19. Eighteen members attended the FFA convention in Indianapolis, Indiana
• Five American Degree Recipients including: Andy Griess, Reid Ely, Brittany Bolte, Bryce Kramer, Jacob Higby
• Justin Green competed in the extemporaneous speaking contest
• Levi Ochsner- National Agri-Entrepreneur Finalist
20. District Leadership Contest
• Lance Gemar- State Qualifier in Job Interview
• Amy Cox- State Qualifier in Extemporaneous Speaking
• Mackenzie Schlautman- State Qualifier in Jr. Public Speaking
• Samantha Overturf– Natural Resource Speaking
